An authentic heartfelt comedy for readers aged 12+
“This hilarious book is thoughtful, relatable and packed with both empathy and humour. We were rooting for Leon, Tanya and Lawrence from start to finish. Perfectly pitched for an early teen audience - or indeed anyone with a sweet tooth!"
~Sarah
In this hilarious real-world tale starring a brilliant cast of neurodiverse characters, 13-year-old Leon is starting again at yet another new school. This time, however, things may turn out differently, as help comes from where he least expects it - namely classmates, Tanya and Lawrence, who both face their own challenges. When the school bully humiliates Leon in the school canteen and almost destroys Lawrence, Leon very reluctantly agrees to the formation of a club, The Asparagus Bunch.
Jessica Scott-Whyte was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and now lives in Paris, France with her family. She has worked as a fashion journalist and in PR. The Asparagus Bunch is her first book.
