With a shrill whistle the Night Train is off, delivering its passengers to children’s dreams. The yeti, the ballet dancer, the friendly monster and the princess all have starring roles.
Then the train comes to an unexpected halt. A tree has fallen across the track and there’s no way the guard can move it on his own.
It’s a race against time and the passengers will need to use all their talents to get the train moving again. Can they reach their dreams before midnight?
Matilda Woods grew up in a small town near Canberra, Australia. She splits her time between writing middle-grade fiction and working as a youth social worker.
Penny Neville-Lee was born in Surrey and raised on a diet of Saturday cartoons and MGM musicals. She gained an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art and then turned her hand to illustrating children’s books.
The activity pack includes book club-style questions to ponder, facts about trains and a recipe for snowball cookies, alongside stickers, jokes and further reading recommendations. Take our wintry true or false quiz, decorate a tea set and have fun with our yeti craft project too!
Activity packs are a handy A5 size and printed on uncoated paper which is fully recyclable.
