A fun theatrical adventure for kids aged 5+

About the book
Callie is spending the summer helping Gran's drama group put on a show to save the local theatre. They've asked her to star in their play, but with Callie's stage fright there's no chance that's going to happen. When she goes exploring backstage, Callie stumbles into an altogether different world - another theatre, run by a wise fox and her troupe of rather quarrelsome talking animals. Together they help Callie face her fears and put on a show in the final fight to save Madame Malone's Music Hall.
About the author
Laura Wood is the author of many books for children and young adults. Her novels have been shortlisted for the Sainsbury's Children's Book Awards, the Blue Peter Book Awards, the YA Book Awards and the Books Are My Bag Awards amongst others.
About the activity pack
The accompanying activity pack include a recipe for gourmet popcorn, instructions for making finger puppets and a theatre costume design activity. There's a logic puzzle, stickers, book club-style questions and a behind-the-scenes guide to the theatre, alongside jokes and further reading recommendations.
