Each parcel contains a carefully selected age-appropriate chapter book and bespoke activity pack that is sure to keep them hooked. Because we work closely with a range of brilliant publishers across the UK, we’re often able to include exclusive extras like bookmarks, signed bookplates, art prints, or other limited promotional goodies you won’t find anywhere else, although these special treats can’t be guaranteed in every box.

Your first subscription box will arrive midway through the following month after you subscribe.

All our rolling subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each term, keeping your admin to a minimum and a steady flow of great books.

You can opt to stop the renewal at any time before the payment is taken via your account page or by emailing us.

UK standard shipping is included in the subscription price.

What's in each monthly book subscription box?

A chapter book

The books we choose for this age group are typically between 100 and 200 pages in length with plenty of illustrations.

Our Parakeets may be able to read these books by themselves, but we also believe that they are ideal for enjoying together.

Activity Pack

Each book comes with an exciting 4-page activity pack which we’ve created specifically to accompany it.

TWO CHILDREN OPTION

Buying for siblings?

Our 'Two children' option is only suitable when both children are in the same reading group.

Every parcel will be addressed to them both and they will receive two of everything except the book itself which can be shared.

If the siblings are in different reading groups they will each need a separate subscription so that they can receive books that are suitable for their reading and interest level.

For guidance, we say that our Parakeets are roughly 5 to 8, Cockatoos 8 to 12 and Macaws 12 to 14 years old.
