What's in each monthly book subscription box?

Chapter book(s)

For this age group we know that the book is the main event. We pick books that we feel sit comfortably between the middle grade (usually aimed at 8 to 12-year-olds) and young adult categories.

The books are challenging and thought-provoking with more complex themes than most middle grade novels but without focusing too much on the teenage angst and romantic struggles common in YA books.

Books in this category are typically over 200 pages in length with no illustrations.

Each book comes with book club-style questions, activity ideas, jokes and exclusive author content.

TWO CHILDREN OPTION

Buying for siblings?

Our 'Two children' option is only suitable when both children are in the same reading group.

Every parcel will be addressed to them both and they will receive two of everything except the book itself which can be shared.

If the siblings are in different reading groups they will each need a separate subscription so that they can receive books that are suitable for their reading and interest level.

For guidance, we say that our Parakeets are roughly 5 to 8, Cockatoos 8 to 12 and Macaws 12 to 14 years old.
